The scope and ambition of Babel is to be applauded

Sat Feb 12, 2011 11:59 am by maggie901

All three stories are linked both by circumstance and theme to create a unifying motif. Inarritu's penchant for playing with time and jumping between the storylines has the effect of breaking tension rather than increasing it. Where Babel does succeed is showing how inadvertent actions can have devastating effects.

Pitt is admirably unglamorous as the distraught Richard, who frantically tries …

For me it would have to be Dobby. I was crying so much at this, that on my book there are still tear marks on the pages. Harry digging the grave for him by hand has such a powerful affect.

I agree that dobby's death was hard and I still cry when I read it, but for me, the hardest death to overcome was that of Fred Weasley. It really upset me and I still have to stop a few minutes to compose myself as I continue to cry. Its hard to think of one of them without the other.

Fre'd death was upsetting. But i didn't cry at that one. I guess because of Harry actually digging the grave was the thing that choked me up the most.

Oh my god I don't know!
Bellatrix's probally! (joking!!!!!)
No, even though this didn't happen in Deathly Hallows, Sirius's.
he was my favourite character! (he still is).
In Deathly Hallows, probally Dobby's and also Fred's.
Dobby's because he helped Harry and his friends so much.
Fred's because ... I feel it won't be the same for George anymore.
He and Fred did everything together and Fred was the better one (no offense to George.)

Fred and George had a great banter together. they played off each other. It's horrible to think that he'd not have that anymore. I know what you mean by Sirius's but for me it will always be Dobby's.
